ABERDEEN BUDGERIGAR SOCIETY

Aberdeen Budgerigar Society was formed in 1957. Unfortunately there is only one founder member remaining Mr Alex Robertson.

The club like many others has seen members come and go throughout the years. Six years ago we did a press publicity release with details about the club. That certainly increased the membership from eleven at that time to about twenty four. We now have twenty eight members and two juniors.

Last year I applied to the Lottery Funding and was very lucky to have been awarded a grant. With this grant we were able to purchase a new enclosed trailer to store and move our show staging around.

We also bought a laptop and printer to help the show secretary out. With the rest of the funding we got a web designer to develop our web  site www.aberdeenbudgie.co.uk which hopefully will maybe encourage more into this great hobby

MEETINGS

Our monthly meetings are held on the 2nd Monday of the month in the RUA, club West Craibstone street Aberdeen.

Anyone visiting the area on holiday is welcome to attend. We would also welcome anyone willing to give a talk/presentation.

Social Scene In Aberdeen

As most of you will already know, the members of the Aberdeen BS are a friendly bunch and any excuse for a gathering is always well attended. Below are some photo's of a recent social get together at the JTR1 Stud.
